Anxiety Disorder: Anxiety when the Disorder

What is Anxiety Disorder?

Anxiety is a common emotion. We are anxious in different ways at different times of life – to solve a problem, before an exam, or to see a loved one. All of this is part of our normal emotions. However, when the expression of this emotion becomes frequent, and it disrupts normal life, then it becomes a disorder.

While it is normal to feel anxious at times, anxiety disorders are a different matter. It is a type of mental illness that cycles anxiety and fear. As a result, daily activities are also disrupted. Anything that happens in the field of education and employment or anywhere else from this extra anxiety can be the cause of the increase in the disease or the deterioration of the condition. 

Symptoms of anxiety

Individuals suffering from anxiety disorder may have different symptoms. Such symptoms depend on the overall condition. However, some common symptoms are more or less noticeable in everyone, they are: 

  • Panic, fear, or discomfort
  • Fear of danger or something terrible
  • Having trouble sleeping, that is, losing or increasing sleep
  • Feeling restless
  • Cold or sweaty hands and feet
  • Dry throat
  • Chest throbbing
  • Failure to pay attention to any task
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Excessive thinking and negative thinking
  • Excessive fear about something or about space

Symptoms such as shortness of breath, ringing in the ears etc. are also seen.

Causes of Anxiety Disorders

No specific cause for this mental illness has yet been found in any study. In the same situation, one may not have a problem, but the other suffers from stress. Scientifically, hormones like adrenaline and cortisol are responsible for anxiety. The exact cause of their discharge is not known. However, it is possible to focus on some of the reasons that most people suffer from anxiety.

1) Genetic: Anxiety disorder can be passed down through the generations. About 30 percent of people in the history of anxiety have a family history of the disease.

2) Brain Chemistry: Some studies have shown that the parts of the brain that control the parts of fear, emotions, etc., can also cause stress and anxiety due to errors in the chemical reactions of those parts.

3) Due to the use of certain drugs: Misuse of certain drugs or taking excessive amounts can lead to various mental illnesses, including nervousness from anxiety. 

4) Drugs: Apart from smoking and alcohol, people also use different types of drugs. Addiction always brings bad things to people. Anxiety is also one of the negative factors. Excessive drug use can lead to mild at first and gradually to anxiety disorder. This may be due to the chemical reactions that take place in the body as a result of sudden withdrawal from intoxication. So experts never rush to get out of any addiction.

5) Surrounding environment: It indicates your situation with enough excitement or anxiety. For example, neglect, hatred, death of someone close to you, etc. are negative situations. Getting a job again, having children, etc. is a positive situation.

6) Physical condition: People are more likely to be affected by an anxiety disorder in certain physical conditions. Heart disease, lung problems, hormonal imbalance usually causes anxiety in humans or exacerbate anxiety symptoms in humans. Therefore, it is better to know the complete body history of a person suffering from an anxiety disorder during treatment.

 

Some factors make a person more likely to develop an anxiety disorder, such as:

  1. If a person has a previous mental illness, a previous mental illness, such as depression, is very likely to be anxious. 
  2. Any painful childhood memory, physical, mental, or sexual abuse in childhood leaves a mark on the human mind, which later manifests as anxiety.
  3. Anxiety works in people who suffer from any disease for a long time, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.
  4. Lack of self-esteem, usually when there is a family quarrel, the child’s self-esteem is low, due to this low self-esteem or confidence, the person may be affected by an anxiety disorder.

 

Types of anxiety

  1. There are several types of anxiety, but some anxiety disorders are more common in people with anxiety.
  2. Generalized Anxiety Disorder: Constant negative thinking about daily life.
  3. Social Anxiety Disorder: It is also called social phobia. The person here always thinks that the people around him are making fun of him.
  4. Panic disorder: It happens suddenly. Panic attacks are usually accompanied by sweating, palpitations, and sometimes a heart attack.
  5. Agoraphobia: A type of anxiety where a person’s fear is transformed into anxiety. A person with agoraphobia may need help in an emergency—E.g. Fear of having a stroke while on board.
  6. Anxiety from certain fears: Anxiety from certain things. Fear of certain things, such as being afraid of spiders.
  7. Separation Anxiety: Worrying about separation and separation from loved ones or loved ones.

 

Many other types of anxiety vary from person to person. There are specific symptoms for certain anxieties, and it is possible to control them or be cautious if you are aware of them. Let’s discuss some common symptoms.

1) Learn about the type of anxiety you have. It is easier to avoid or be prepared for the situation if you know what you are worried about.

2) What is your relaxation method? Generally, breathing exercises, taking short breaks in between work, etc. are useful.

3) Challenge negative thoughts. Try and replace negative thoughts with positive ones, and make it a habit.

4) Exercise. Not running slowly, sweating or running. It breaks down the inner contractions.

5) Share with someone close or trusted or get expert help.

 

Daily life is very difficult with anxiety. It is not easy to live with constant thought or fear. That is why it is important to take the advice of an expert in such a situation. If you have anxiety symptoms, your doctor will check to see if there are any physical problems at the beginning. If a physical problem does not cause the anxiety, the psychiatrist will find out the type of anxiety in their conventional way and start the treatment accordingly. This treatment is also a matter of time. Failure to do so may result in a return to normal or further aggravation of the problem. Proper and complete treatment can completely cure this problem.
