How to buy condensed milk?

Those were the days when condensed milk was of the highest quality in the coin shop. Today, there is a great opportunity to buy a mesh for condensed milk, where there will be no real milk. Its alternatives mixed with various food chemical additives can adversely affect the buyer’s health, especially on the health of children.

However, even in such tragic situations, condensed milk is sometimes available from whole milk with the right fat and sugar content. Let’s take a brief look at the most sold “condensed milk.”

Favorite to many, condensed milk, how is it now? The most common condensed milk currently sold contains palm oil. And it’s of two kinds – technical (very harmful) and food (less harmful). Which one is used is not indicated on the label.

To make customers interested in purchasing, use the reception of new items. Cans of the same size in the metal case, but poured a dairy product with slightly altered labels, are colored and smell like real condensed milk. But there’s no word on the label that the bank has condensed milk (it’s not there, after all!). In the picture – grazing cows on a bright green grass and product names: “Varenka,” “Gurmond,” “Burenka,” and more if the producer is right with imagination.

This seems to be a straightforward strategy, and the buyer must understand that at the price of the original condensed milk, he takes a copy for it. But not everyone understands this – the size of the jar ideal for packing condensed milk has a magical effect. It is not possible to claim.

The bottom line is that the manufacturers did not violate anything. Jar shape? This is not a complete copy of the one under Condensed Milk. Labels? It doesn’t look like standard blue and white. Weight? It is smaller than condensed milk. Price? So here are all the expenses, including trade markups. It turns out that the buyer is blaming himself, who bought the product for the new type of condensed milk.

Almost the exact copy of a can of condensed milk is often found on sale, but these words are on the label “milk with sugar.” It is not condensed milk at all, only milk with vegetable fats and sugar added. The primary fat was removed from the milk, and he went on to produce other products. And skim milk has added significantly cheaper vegetable fat. Condensed milk doesn’t even smell here.

What should you pay special attention to when buying condensed milk?

Please do not feel too lazy to visit several stores in search of him.

Check if the label contains any GOST labels.

If, instead, you see a line about the technical condition – it’s not what you need. The manufacturer has created technical conditions for its products. And only he knows what he wrote in them, and it can’t be controlled in any practical way. If the label is a little different from the standard blue-blue, know that a product in the jar looks like condensed milk, but it is not.

Complete copying of the brand etiquette of this condensed milk is prohibited by law. However, in part, the designer can change and use some of the elements of such labels. In addition, real condensed milk is produced from whole milk, and it is continuously reflected on the label.

See also jar weight. It should be 400 grams. If the weight is 390 grams or less – you have a net in your hand.

Confusing packaging in other containers. It can be plastic bottles, plastic cups for ice cream, boxes for yogurt, glass jars, plastic bags. Not all of these are used as a container for the production of real condensed milk, but it is widely used by industries that produce products for “condensed milk.”
