Jessica Cox: Who Flew Warplanes on two Legs

Parents always decide with the welfare of the child in mind. But they are also human; Sometimes, they also make mistakes. However, Jessica Cox’s father did not make such a mistake. “My daughter is very interested in flying,” the father told Stoddard, a war pilot and owner of a Tucson-based non-profit organization called ‘Right Flight,’ even though he knew she was afraid to get on the plane.

The girl could not disagree with her father’s words, and she took the challenge very seriously. Since then, he has become known as the first pilot in the world to have no hands. I’m talking about Jessica Cox from America.

Jessica Cox was born in 1983 in the US state of Arizona. The arrival of a new member of the family usually brings a lot of joy, but it did not happen at the time of Jessica’s birth. Jessica was born disappointing everyone. Her mother suffers the most when she sees her daughter born without two hands. Because she had no complications during her pregnancy, it is still amazing why Jessica’s hands were not formed while she was in the womb. Doctors consider it a rare birth defect. Jessica Cox Mejo is one of three siblings. He was never seen separately because he had no hands. Jessica was raised by her parents as a normal human being, even though she had no hands. They even gave her a prosthetic arm to give her a normal life, but Jessica disliked it. He always wanted to burn the prosthetic hands, but he struggled to keep them 11 years later. When Jessica was 14, she decided to take off her hands and never wore them again.

Her parents never thought of a special school for Jessica. He used to go to normal children’s school with everyone. In addition to her studies, Jessica learned tap dance and the Girl Scout swim. He used to perform dances on various occasions and also took part in sports. Yet he was outraged by the birth defect when his peers did not treat him like a normal child. The word ‘hand-cut’ is inseparable from its name. He also had to get the compassionate look of everyone because he did not have hands. He wanted to fly when he saw the other children hanging on the monkey bar while swinging on the school swing. He dreamed of flying. He thought, “One day, I will be a superwoman. I will fly in the sky without my hands! ” He has fulfilled this dream with the help of his father’s will and his efforts.

Although Jessica was emotionally traumatized as a child due to lack of hands, her personality is always in jeopardy. Jessica is furious. When his classmates were angry with him for not having hands, he would throw his legs and shout. In the midst of Jessica’s anger, the father seems to see the daughter’s talent. He was admitted to a martial arts school in America with his siblings. Jessica Cox and the Taekwondo Association of America received a black belt and entered the Guinness Book of World Records. Because he was the first person to win a black belt in taekwondo. Jessica is also a certified scuba driver. He also has a reputation as a pianist and car driver. Although his license was that of an unruly driver, he is now a licensed driver.

His name in the Guinness Book of World Records was actually known as an international motivational speaker, and he went to different countries to give lectures. When Jessica was busy inspiring everyone, a man of love, Patrick Cheimbalen, came to life. She married Patrick in 2012. He had three special guests at the wedding who did not have hands. Jessica says of those special guests:

” There is no reason to think that life would be meaningless without hands. Even if there is no hand, people find the man of the mind, and they get love. The losers also have the full right to lead a normal life. I have invited three of them to show it. “

In 2015, Jessica met Robin Stoddard at a discussion meeting at the Rotary Club of America. He asks Jessica, do you want to fly? Jessica’s father, who was next door, sat down with a resounding yes. This is where Jessica, a freshman from the University of Arizona’s Department of Psychology, began her journey as a pilot. In three years, at the age of 35, he became a full-fledged fighter pilot. And re-entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the first handless pilot. It took Jessica so long to become a ‘pilot Jessica Cox’ because she had no trainer who could teach her to fly with great effort and patience. But due to his hard work and patience, he was able to end this friend’s tour.

Jessica controls throttle with the left foot and yoke with the right foot. In this way, Divya took this handless pilot down to the ground.

Asked if she had trouble flying with her feet, Jessica told CNN in an interview:

“Why would there be a problem! I do what other pilots do with their hands. I do with my two feet.”

He added:

“As a child, I was terrified of getting on a plane. As soon as I got on the plane, I prayed that someone would drop me off. But a dual flight changed my life. The pilot sitting next to me suddenly let go of the plane and told me to take control. I was scared, but I was happier than scared. ”

Jessica wrote her biography in the book Disarm Your Limits. A number of documentaries have been made about him, which won awards at the 2015 Mirabile Dicto Film Festival or International Catholic Film Festival in Rome’s Vatican City for Best Documentary and at the Hollywood Film Festival ’15 for Social Impact Film. Jessica Cox’s documentary also holds many more awards.

Regarding the documentary about Jessica, he said:

“It’s a great way to get my story across to people. When people see and appreciate the documentaries made about me, I feel good. I wish they were a little more optimistic. “

Jessica is currently working to ensure that children with physical disabilities have a normal life. In this regard, he said,

“I have the opportunity to do whatever I want. Without two hands, nothing came of my life. I want my future generations to have this opportunity.”
