Mental Health: Safety and Awareness

Mental health is now a major concern around the world for a variety of reasons. We have forgotten that the mind is also a part of the body by paying extra attention to physical ailments. So it is very important to take care of the mind.

But how can we do that? Several things can be done here. Regular sleep at least 7-8 hours, stop sleeping irregularities, moderate exercise, regular nutritious diet, caffeinated or extra sugary drinks to limit the body as well as the head cool.

But a great way to take care of the mind is with people. We are social animals, so not being able to socialize, talk, and do all this creates stress. Although face-to-face encounters are the most effective in this regard, the Covid super massiveness has brought us to the face of the new reality or New Normal.

But we have the technology. We can always stay connected using smartphones, social media, etc. If we can use technology properly, then the benefit is ours in the end. But in the name of being connected, you can be stuck on the phone or laptop for 24 hours but you can push the mind towards the bad without making it good. So there is a need for moderation.

To keep the mind fresh, you should sometimes diversify your monotonous routine. This may mean visiting on holiday. There is no need to go far, try to see the city you know anew, but you can find diversity. There is no such thing as always having to go around. We can try to do something that is done in Kalevadra. Maybe clean the house, turn off the computer and phone and take a walk.

Finding out what gives us joy. Music, movies, books, chatting with friends is what stimulates our minds. Maybe all of them. Whatever it is, this time should be taken out of daily busyness. You have to laugh every day, be it reading a joke or watching a funny movie or spending some time with a funny person. If the face is made like Bengali five, the mind will remain the same.

You need to try to get out of the network at least once in your life. If you leave the Internet and the digital world in a completely unfamiliar place and go around for a while, your brain will be very alert. However, in order to do this security must be ensured first.

You have to be aware of yourself as well as others. If someone feels emotionally disturbed, showing empathy to them, listening to them attentively, etc. can play a big role in their protection. This issue is not yet established in our society. Many of us consider a mental patient to be insane, but the range of mental problems is much bigger.

Many people are afraid to talk about their mental illness because of the prevailing social superstitions about mental illness. There are many people who know that they may need psychiatric treatment, but they are left behind in the thought of what society will say, resulting in the loss of family and consequently of that society.

One of the biggest issues in global mental health care is talking openly about it. If the doors and windows are closed and the eyes are closed, this problem will not go away but will increase. You have to talk, you have to listen. If you find yourself emotionally devastated, talk to someone you trust. He may be a relative, friend or other well-wisher. The main task of a faithful person is to be an attentive listener, he must be careful so that the mentally distressed person does not get hurt in any of his words.

It is important to remember that this culture of open talk has not yet developed in our country. Moreover, many times the patient does not feel comfortable talking to someone he knows. In that case, it is possible to contact the psychiatrist or trained counselors directly.

Physical and mental health are equally important. Danger if anyone is bad. If you need to go to a doctor for a physical illness, you need to seek the help of a psychiatrist if necessary. There is nothing to be ashamed of, there can be a disease if there is a mind.
