One of the best horror movies on Halloween night

Every year October 31 is the day of ‘Halloween.’ This day is celebrated with great importance and joy in the Christian culture of various western countries. This day is celebrated through huge feasts and festivals dedicated to the souls of the dead, martyrs, and saints. There are funny folk tales that the spirits of the dead come down on this day.

Halloween is celebrated wearing all sorts of weird clothes, pranking, scaring, telling scary stories, and partying. Horror movies have also been linked to this. This discussion is about the film. With John Carpenter’s cult classic ‘Halloween’ (1978), the Halloween-based ‘horror’ has become a publicity stunt. Since then, the franchise is still going on, with a lot of horrors. This article discusses the movie Trick or Treat (2007), one of the horrors created in the context of Halloween, not in or around Halloween. This little-known or unknown Halloween horror movie has been given importance.

Trick or Treat (2007)

The ghosts of Halloween, the youth-loving witches, the demons came down on the night of Halloween in the suburbs. As seen at the beginning of the movie, the wife of a couple comes in and turns off the jack. And the lantern. The husband forbids; Say, they will be angry with someone. But if the wife hears it! The result was to get caught in the trap of cockatoos. Someone was standing on the side of the road watching the incident. That Jack is also a lantern, with a candy in his hand like a carved pumpkin! He revolves around every story in the movie as if there is a connection. All the Halloween folklore is starting to come true in this suburb. In the story of that older man, treats of teenagers or the strange prey of young women.

‘Trick or Treat’ is an anthology horror movie. There are five stories. The stories are about Halloween myths and ghosts. Although different, there is an interconnection in this movie. That is not in the story but the character. Five stories from the same city; you can see that the nature of one story is the neighbor of the surface of another story. No one or the suburban festival was close but did not know. The whole narrative is beautifully arranged and filled with little intelligence. These slight twists have deepened the brilliance of the cinema. Not a non-linear narrative, but some non-linear elements have been kept. As can be seen, in the second story, the old voice in the house next door was shouting at the story’s main character. The same older man is again the main character of the last report. At the same time, the girl was walking down the street with revenge.

And in the future, it will bring the different images together very skillfully. It was happening at the same time or a little earlier!

Because of these things, you can say that Michael Doherty’s ‘Trick or Treat’ has all the tricks of Halloween, and the stories are also a treat. That is to say, and the level is deep enough. Nah, not that the stories have too heavy a saying; there are metaphors. No. All you have to do is write and present a simple story skillfully. It can tell these stories with interest. There are twists and turns in the story; there is also the beauty of the genre. That’s why this movie has become strangely charming.

Halloween-based movies are now simply ‘straightforward slashers.’ Compared to that, it has both a place to tell a story. The flashy production design with all the fun stories makes Halloween look quiet. There are tributes to be paid, along with nostalgia for expression and production design. The atmosphere of mystery and suspense has been created very skillfully. The whole thing worked great because the exposure to the story was at the right level. The real fun of Halloween is in this trick or treat. That is why the name has become entirely accurate.
