Surprised China
The country of 1.5 billion people is not as rich or developed as its influence can be heard in world politics. Especially in rural areas, hills, forests, people living in desert hard lands, or snow-covered hilly areas, this inner faith is deepened. But the eyes began to open after the opportunity to monitor the news received from the Chinese media constantly.
From the very beginning of our research on China, we have seen all kinds of news from different parts of Greater China. News of people of various classes and professions in a wide area. The range of opportunities to see the various stories spread from the grassroots of tradition to modern urban life is very wide. And this is the reason for raising the eyebrows.
Especially by the end of 2020, the President of China declared the whole country free from poverty. Although it is possible to say in one line, the whole picture is not easy at all. It is no small feat to drag a country from a country where at least 60 million people lived below the poverty line in 2013 to a position where no one will be extremely poor. With the reform of agricultural management and the development of the rural economy, there are absolutely no people in the profession who have not increased their income, starting from the rural peasant-workers. People have learned to live anew with available employment opportunities. The average income of ordinary people has increased, from medical entertainment to necessities are now in their hands. The ruling Communist Party has made it possible to meet the huge challenge of lifting the Chinese out of extreme poverty by taking various measures.
There are development activities across a huge chunk of Chinese news—especially the development of communication infrastructure. To ensure balanced development, the connection that has been established between the settlers on the banks of the huge river or between the two parts of the forest has been seen all over China.
As the number of older people has been increasing recently, the policy of three children has been taken to maintain the balance of the population. Couples are now being encouraged to have a third child again after changing the 2016 two-child policy. According to the National Health Commission of China, the policy will play a major role in economic and social development. The biggest thing is that this policy of changing the policy, keeping in mind the country’s needs, will make China more dynamic.
It doesn’t stop there. Recently, Chinese President Xi Jinping has been touring the country. He has undertaken activities to see the infrastructure of the rural society, local government, and administration. He recently visited the northwestern Chinese province of Qinghai. He visited the local administration of Singing, the provincial capital. At the time, President Xi Jinping stressed the need to strengthen party organization to the marginal level and deliver quality services at all levels. This is where the main force of the Chinese Communist Party seems to me. The party is not dedicated to a particular class or community but is a symbol of China’s development and socio-economic progress.
Recently I had the opportunity to watch a video documentary made by a U.S. citizen named Yam Goodram. Yam is a U.S. citizen and a member of the Communist Party. He toured all over China and made this documentary about the activities of the Communist Party. He shared his experience with the activities of the Chinese Communist Party. In the beginning, he also had very little idea about China.
Yam, who started studying communism after the economic crisis, was fascinated by Mao Zedong’s writings. Inspired by that, he joined the Communist Party of the United States in 2016. He moved to China a year later.
How the Communist Party started working a hundred years ago started its journey with only 50 members. How did the Communist Party of China or CPC become the largest political organization in the world with 90 million members through only 13 members of the Central Committee? In particular, how was it possible to put into practice the knowledge of various theories or books of the Communist Party? That answer came from Yam’s documentary. It is learned that the party’s first policy was to protect the interests of the common person. The party’s philosophy is to ensure the welfare of the people in the light of Marxist theory.
And this philosophy is being fully implemented by President Xi Jinping. That is why the CPC has set a goal to implement the aspirations of the common person to improve the quality of life. In particular, what is most needed, what needs to be done at the moment, what is important for the whole nation, the program is fixed keeping in mind these issues. And this is considered to be the key to the success of the Chinese Communist Party.
In particular, the first of the five basic principles or conditions that the members adhere to is to ‘serve the common man with all one’s heart and mind.’ Therefore, when the party’s policy takes precedence over personal gain or profit and loss, then every worker will become an individual leader and leader. This is normal. Therefore, in any crisis, danger, or calamity of the country, the party members come forward first. And this is seen as one of the keys to the success of the CPC in power in China as a party.
This is a recent example of how the entire nation has come together to deal with the discovery of Kovid-19 in China in December 2019. All kinds of programs have been taken with the priority of human life and health. The issue of ‘people’ has come to the fore here. No VIP culture, no difference between rich and poor, no town or village, the needs of the people have been taken into consideration. While many of the world’s largest economies have reached the pinnacle of development, China has handled the situation with a cool head, in the light of a precise plan. After vaccinating ordinary citizens, it is now the world’s most populous country on the verge of eradicating covid by bringing children under vaccination. It is easy to imagine that this would not have been possible without the discipline and devotion of the party in power.
The description of his experience has at least somewhat fulfilled his desire to know about China. There may be opportunities for more intensive observation in the future.
