The cause of the yellowing of the leaves of the tree and its remedy
We plant various trees on the balcony of our house or the roof of our house as a hobby. But it is often seen that the leaves of our hobby trees are turning yellow, the leaves are falling off, the whole tree is becoming lifeless. Even after so much care, the leaves of the tree turn yellow. There are many reasons why the leaves of a tree turn yellow. One by one, the leaves of the tree turn yellow for one reason or another. If we can’t figure out why a tree is turning yellow, we can’t take care of it properly.
Here are a few reasons from my experience:
If the water is low/high
If more or less water is given to the tree than required, the tree leaves are likely to turn yellow. If the tree is given less water, then the leaves will turn yellow and dry out.
If you give excessive water to the tree, you can understand the feeling of dampness only by rubbing the leaves a little. Therefore, in the case of watering the tree, care should be taken so that the tree’s amount is not less or more. There is a possibility that the tree will die. Therefore, always check the tree’s soil with your fingers whether the soil is dry or wet.
If the fertilizer is low/high
We all use more or less chemical fertilizers. But many people do not know when and how much fertilizer should be used. Therefore, excessive use of these chemical fertilizers will result in yellowing of the leaves. In this case, it is necessary to use plenty of water to wash away the chemical fertilizer in the water. Then it will be possible to save the tree.
Again, if the fertilizer is less, the leaves will turn yellow and fall off. For this, you need to use NPK fertilizer as required while planting.
When the amount of oxygen in the soil decreases
Even if the soil is deficient in oxygen, the leaves may turn yellow. Then put 2/3 nails on both sides of the soil in the tub of the tree. Since nails are made of iron, iron needs air oxygen to rust. Rust is mainly ferric oxide, so when this rust is formed, it can supply the required oxygen to the soil.
Lack of potassium
It is often seen that the upper leaves of the tree are green, but the lower leaves turn yellow. Or the leaves around the tree are yellow, but the middle is green.
If this is the case, it should be understood that the plant is deficient in potassium. In this condition, the banana peel should be dried in the sun and blended at the tree’s base. Or use a pinch of potassium fertilizer in the soil of the tree.
Do not apply compost when planting in new tubs.
When the soil is prepared at the time of planting the seedlings of new trees, even if the dung is not fertilized, the leaves of the trees turn yellow. And every 2 to 3 months, the soil should be plowed with these compost fertilizers. The trees will get regular food as needed.
When attacked by insects
Many times the leaves turn yellow when attacked by insects. For this, it is necessary to take measures to kill the insects as required. Pesticide should be sprayed conveniently.
Lack of chlorophyll
After complete care, the leaves may turn yellow. Then it should be understood that the leaves of the tree are deficient in magnesium, and as a result, there is a deficiency of chlorophyll. As a result, the leaves of the tree turn yellowish (turn pale). If such a problem occurs, the tree cannot produce enough food, which hinders the timely flowering of the tree.
So, in this case, the plant needs to use Epsom Salt (also known as Mag Salt in the market). Epsom salt 0.5 to 0.8 US dollars per kg is mixed with 1 to 2 grams in 1 liter of water and sprayed on the leaves after 15 to 20 days.
When the seasons change
When the seasons change, such as from hot to cold or from cold to hot, or even in the rainy season, the tree’s leaves turn yellow. These are normal events. During these times, the leaves of the tree may turn yellow, which is a natural phenomenon. But if the leaves are yellow for a long time or fall off, it is necessary to take some action.
