The way Animals go from one country to another
Birds migrate mainly in search of suitable habitats and places where food is abundant. With the onset of winter, they move to warmer regions. Birds of the Arctic tern species fly from one pole of the earth to another throughout the year in search of warmer regions. When the winter is severe in the Arctic region in the north, it is driven to Antarctica in the south, where summer is just beginning. They are thought to move about 25,000 miles a year.
The path that birds follow is called a flyway. It is not yet clear to scientists how they follow this flyway and determine the direction of the year. They are thought to have an internal GPS (Global Positioning System) that helps them to follow the same pattern every time they move. In this case, the sun and the stars follow. Many people think that birds can recognize different landmarks on the way to flight. Some of the limbs work in the birds’ extraordinary ability to determine direction. The north direction can be determined by the interaction of a particular part of the eye and the brain. A small amount of iron in the inner ear can determine the direction using the earth’s magnetic field. Can recognize different places using olfactory power. The most interesting thing is that the birds can use the nerves in their beaks to determine the position of any place by determining the angle formed by the earth’s magnetic field with the earth.
Monarch butterflies migrate from Mexico to Canada for about five months in three generations. The fourth-generation returned to Mexico. Thus completes a transition cycle of 4 generations. Then start again. They follow the sun and the earth’s magnetic field from their instincts without any direction. By making a kind of protein in the brain, they can determine the sun’s position. This multi-generational transfer is researched using a kind of electronic tag.
Each year, about 1 million wild beasts and 200,000 zebras follow a 300-mile cycle through Tanzania and Kenya, some of which are dangerous. Following the monsoon rains, they go in search of green meadows. Scientists think that they determine the direction with the help of the smell of the soil.
Female sperm whales roam in warmer waters with their young in search of food. On the other hand, Male whales live in the cool waters of the Arctic. Every year they have to meet in the Atlantic Ocean.
Red crabs lay their eggs in the sea, which turn from larvae into small crabs and come ashore. From there, they migrate in search of food. Later they return to the sea to lay their eggs.
At the beginning of December each year, thousands of zebras come from northern Namibia, about 240 km. Mr. Cross the road and heads south to Nxai Pan National Park in Botswana, searching for grassland. Two months later, he returned to Namibia on the same route.
Elephants usually travel short distances. But a herd of elephants surprised everyone, about 500 km from China’s Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve near the border with Myanmar. Mr. Crossed the road and reached Kunming. They have been seen in different villages and towns. Now experts are thinking that the elephants are going back again.
The migration of the animal kingdom reveals the diversity of life on earth. So people have to be very careful about the proper coexistence of human beings with other animals.
